I can't believe I've finally going real Chinese food in Buffalo!I've been hunting for Sichuan cuisine for about a year now, and this weekend, I hit the jackpot. I got my fix of stir-fried cabbage, dan dan noodles, pork belly in garlic sauce, and Chongqing Chicken! Just what I've been searching for.They also have pig-ear, frog legs, and pork thread, which will be my next trip.I also love that they have an "American Menu", which is just American Chinese food. It has its place, but there's no need here! Get the real stuff. It's SO GOOD.I'm addicted to this and had a wonderful conversation with the owner by the end of my lunch. I went home happy, with a bunch of leftovers, and ready to return. I also got a pile of food and it was only 50$.

China Star is an interesting Chinese restaurant. They are a little more pricey than a typical Cantonese/Chinese-American take-out. Their portions are a little smaller. So how do they compete? They serve genuine szechuan cooking which is a different cuisine from most of the other place in Buffalo. Located in the infamous Harlem/Sheridan plaza where the notorious Chucky Cheeze is, China Star's food can be very spicy. They also serve lamb.
