The Chippy Fish & Grill may do it for you if you temper your expectations. Ever since graduating high school in Brisbane, Australia I have been on the search for a killer form of Fish & Chips stateside but I think I have to resign to the fact that nothing is going to compare to The Barra Boys or The Kingfisher in good old Brizzy. It is not for lack of trying, I promise you that. The Chippy Fish & Grill. Okay, these guys originally started in a wretched and dirty food hall in Irvine on Von Karman years -- if not decades -- before food halls were "cool" and desirable. Early on in my Yelping career I was told by countless people that The Chippy Fish & Grill was the best in Irvine if not all of Orange County and after visiting I was quite depressed as I only got a pair of stars out of the experience and that was generous. Fast forward to today and The Chippy Fish & Grill uprooted from Irvine to the Anaheim Packing House and put money into their facade, menu, and overall vibe. The prices start at a paltry $4.00 for a simple fried piece of Cod and go up to $15.00+ for certain Seafood combinations. They also offer Ribs but good luck with that. Fish and chips was great. I also had the onion ring and fire chicken which was good as well. Everything I tried was fabulous. On top of which, there was a Live band.

Solid fish and chips. I got the seafood platter. One fish, one shrimp, and calamari rings. The batter to seafood ratio is good. The batter makes a big difference and doesn't overwhelm the meat. They also have portions of regular fries, garlic fries, and Cajun fries. Will definitely be eating here again.
