The oyster shooters were great. The guy in front of them (bald, big and loud) was a tool. To be fair, the one behind the counter seemed much nicer but he isn't the one talking to most of us. I actually read a review on here to skip the other fish throwing popular spot to give these guys a chance - I very excitedly took our group over. I had mistakenly thought the oysters were able to be shucked - I got a very  snarky response to the tune of "nope, good luck with that. We don't do that here" and I just had a bag of whole oysters. I mean not the worst problem but as a literal first time visitor to Seattle nonetheless a fish market who just didn't know, the condescending crap was so unnecessary. The attitude, the spot, just gah. GO TO THE FLYING FISH SPOT. When I asked about the oysters there I got a kind response there that was "sure, just so you know we don't shuck them here because we don't have a food license so you'll need to go to a restaurant if you already want them on the half shell" boom. An easy, competent explanation. Simple as that. What a tool. Skip this place for sure - literally everyone...

Wonderful fresh fish. Copper River King salmon is fantastic. Nothing like it. Worth every $$$. Tender, creamy,  sweet and melt in your mouth good like only the best freshest king salmon is. We eat salmon and fish weekly and this is the best. Also best place to buy it!!!

You must place a certain amount of trust when you buy "line caught" or "fresh" from a fishmonger.  While I can forgive City Fish's annoying hard sell tourist hustle to upsell me one and a half pounds of smoked salmon when I asked for 1/2 lb. I can't ever forgive arriving home to find frayed and freezer burnt scrap ends of 29.95 lb "fresh halibut " First, I expected  it to be FRESH. I expected one 1 1/2lb  piece of the glossy thick filets they presented in the case... not the three scraggly, odd shaped bits they quickly wrapped without showing me or asking. I had dinner guests and was not happy to find this out when I opened the package. I couldn't even divide these odd shaped scraps into presentable portions.   The halibut flesh was separated and dry on the surface and had a weird water logged texture with the very obvious  overfrozen tastelessness and texture you wouldn't even find acceptable for one third the price at a supermarket. We ended up feeding most of it to my dog. I should have gone to University seafood where I've gotten reliable quality. Blah
