Easily the worst espresso in Berkeley. Burned to ashes in the roaster then overheated in the filter, with some scalded milk if you ordered it that way.

I was walking past Coffee Conscious when I decided to get a cup of coffee and it was one of the best cups of dark brew coffee I have had here in Berkeley. The price was super low $2.25 for a lrg cup and being a small neighborhood coffee shop you become a regular on your second visit and the staff remembers your name and what you drink. This is definitely my type of place.
