Cold Stone Creamery in Sterling

I normally stop once a week at a Cold Stone Creamery in the area. We live a couple hours away and my daughter has weekly appointments nearby. I always get a got to have it of cake batter and yellow cake. The young man at the counter tonight got out a very small amount of ice cream and put a part of a square of yellow cake in it. I asked for a little more cake because it was not even a whole piece. He didn’t seem happy I asked and he attempted to scrape the bucket and get a teeny bit more out as the bucket was basically empty. Then he had to go back to the ice cream and add more because it didn’t fill up the cup. When I checked out he then charged me for an extra mix in. (I’m assuming it was because I asked for more) Needless to say until I got to about to where the ice cream cup was a bout a 1/4 of the way full I didn’t get any cake. I feel the prices here are high anyways but it is delicious. When you pay a lot and get a little that makes a difference. I will definitely be bypassing this Cold stone from now on.

Our experience was not bad. We ended up going about 30 minutes til closing time. It was pretty packed with a large family, so we waited in line for about a good 10 minutes. There were two people working behind the counter, which is typically the case in most places like that at closing time, so it wasn’t their fault they got slammed last minute. I know the feeling as I work at Starbucks Coffee.The staff was friendly, the ice cream was good. The only complaint I would say is the location is kind of awkward. Also, the establishment itself is very small. The family in front of us a lot of rowdy children the kept bumping into us, and the chairs were in the que line, but there was no room to put them — little claustrophobic. Other than that it’s fine!

I've been to this location several times and since my first visit, I never left as a happy camper. I believe in second chances but they just keep giving me reasons not to come back. Every time I've been to this location, my signature ice cream is never made right with the correct amount of ingredient. I sometimes have to order extra of the sam...
