So, being a frequent traveler, I've seen my share of hotel bars. For atmosphere and aesthetics, this one's pretty decent. The big thing that drives down the score on this one is the price. I don't consider myself a cheapskate, but at same time, I'm not the "money is no object" type of guy. I ordered a single Jameson on the rocks. Simple, virtually no preparation required, not top shelf by any stretch of the imagination. $15. You could walk into your average liquor warehouse and buy a 750 (which is what they were serving from) for about $25. Some quick math on how many shots are in a bottle and you will quickly conclude that that's over a 1000% markup. I get that people open bars to make money, but that's egregious. You could chop that price in half and still make a 500% profit. Aside from that, the staff was friendly and attentive. That's the only thing getting this place an extra star.

End of evening drinks here was a nice experience thanks to the gracious service and professionalism of our server Nick. Good customer service can make such a difference.

I don't know if this was because my group was too large, and Connexion is not used to catering large orders but I did not enjoy my meal at all. All I got was a burger, but the meat was cooked incorrectly, the bun was rock hard, the fries were cold - not luke warm, but COLD. In most cases, I'd be willing to give a restaurant another shot, but after seeing the displeasure across the board with my co-workers, and my food, I can't imagine doing so. The Key Bridge Marriott is a nice hotel, with nice views, and several restaurants in walking distance. If they want to capture some of their guests for in house Food and Beverage revenue they really should consider changing something with their restaurant.
