Ordered the Slawsome Sando and Tendies meals from CCC at the Great Notion Ballard pop up. We chose coleslaw and fries for sides. My partner and I both remarked on how yummy and flavorful the chicken tasted. I think it could be our favorite in Seattle, plus the heat didn't obscure the flavor. When including the sides, it was too much food for us and a little expensive. So I wouldn't order two sides again in a normal situation. Secondly, the sides were good and well made, but plain and not on the same level as the chicken. It's probably not called Cookie's Country Coleslaw and Fries for this reason.

We have enjoyed chicken here on two occasions after Mariners games -- and we will be back again. Have eaten both the Tendies and a Bowl, and both were delicious! Chicken is well-breaded and thick white meat (for the tendies), and yellow sauce is super yummy. On our last visit, they did goof up our order. Gave us a salad instead of Tendies. Even though they were closed for the day by the time I brought it back, they jumped in and got us fixed right away. Speaks highly of a place when they make a mistake and handle it professionally. We will be back!

I still think Cookie's Country Chicken is worth five star plus, but original review needs an update after today's afternoon takeout (3/25/21). Note that I've visited the former location in Georgetown and the current location in Pioneer Square/SoDo at the shared Quality Athletics site. Look for the fire pit by 2nd and King. The go tos for me has been the 3 fried chicken thighs with collard greens and mac and cheese. I've also tried the mashed potatoes and gravy or the potato salad as sides. The go tos for The Homie are the chicken tendies with fries and mac and cheese. Homemade dipping sauces are also spot on, especially the honey mustard. We've also tried the tasty fried chicken sandwich. CCC has remained delicious and consistent. Friendly and welcoming FOH and rockstar BOH staff. For takeout, I've ordered spontaneously onsite and also online via the Tock app. However, my experience today I needed to update my post as a PSA for fellow Yelpers and prospective customers. I usually strategically plan to order not during the lunch rush and visit within a timeframe window of opportunity due to traffic. Being a northender, traveling from Shoreline to/from downtown Seattle. That being said, my mid afternoon was spent twirling round and round for street parking. A no go at another spot, so onward to CCC. Parking rates are dirt cheap, but finding a spot due to construction and business weekdays, it is an exercise in patience. Found a spot two blocks away, placed my online order via Tock, one hour time slot though. Paid for street parking...yes, they ticket and tow, so pay up accordingly. Wandered acround to kill time and enjoy the weath...
