If I could give no stars I would. Very bad customer service. I used to go to this cafe often, but then the owner began to treat me rudely for no reason sometime back. So I stopped going so often. This morning I went in to buy pastry and she gave me a hard time for buying 3 pastries. Said I was taking away from her regular customers. I said I used to be. She said her everyday customers. If I could give no stars I would. The owner of this cafe is flat out rude. I went in there yesterday to buy 3 pastries. She gave me a hard time because I was taking away pastries from her regular customers. I said I was a regular customer. She said everyday customer. She said in the future if I wanted that many I should call ahead to order and prepay. For 3 measly pastries? When I could go down the street to Il Fournil and buy the same pastry without the marked up price? She has been rude to me for some time, but I live here and want to support my neighborhood vendors. But never again. During the pandemic I went there once and left a $50 tip for a cup of coffee. Now I will patronize Seven, or Herkimers or Starbucks even. They are all near by. And be treated politely, and not rudely.
