Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington

Although most reviews are giving this place 3-3.5 stars, I am bumping mine up to take into account the unique aspects of this sports bar. The 3 level layout is unique and the 3rd floor is pretty amazing with the Wall Street-esque score ticker and monster screen. If you have a game you want to watch, they have a TV for it...trust me. Another aspect that is unique is the size and variety of the menu. They have everything from steaks to shrimp as well as quesadillas and soup. It's not just your typical burgers and wings. Granted, the quality can be a little hit or miss sometimes, but it's a sports bar and not Ruth's Chris. Unlike a lot of reviewers on here, I haven't had bad experiences with service. It can get busy here on gameday (especially fall football), but overall they manage it well. The outdoor covered patio area is also nice if you want to get some fresh air. It's walkable from the metro and there is parking on the street close by.

My wife and I have been coming here since 2012. CCSP always had a good happy hour, good food, and the best prices in Crystal City. The staff are friendly and always make sure our glasses are full. Post pandemic, the place seems to be struggling. The menu is too robust to do any dish really well. Take the 10" pizza for example: it's basically cheese and sauce on a giant ritz cracker. Totally disappointing. $15 quesadilla? Seems a bit pricey for a sports pub. The beer selection hasn't changed in years, with the exception of their rotating seasonal draft. As the Director of Operations at Son Tours, Inc. we have many school groups that travel to Washington, D.C, and one of the places the kids and adults love to eat is the Crystal City Sports Pub.
