Flavoured White Tea
buddha's blend
We don't like to brag, but we're pretty sure we just found the key to achieving nirvana. It's easier than you might think you're actually just a cup away. You start with a fresh, delicate mix of white and green tea. Then you sprinkle in a few jasmine pearls for their sweet, floral perfume. Next, you add the unexpected fruity aroma of some beautiful white hibiscus blossoms. Finally? You sit back, relax and take a sip.
Coco-lemon Thai
Thai cuisine is known for its bold flavours and unexpected combinations. And this fresh, sunny white tea blend is no exception. It combines delicate white tea with zingy lemongrass and lemon myrtle, creamy coconut and spicy-sweet ginger, for a taste that's subtly exotic and addictively refreshing. It's a guaranteed jolt of sunshine that'll turn any ordinary day into a trip to the bustling markets of Bangkok or a lush island in the Andaman Sea. Go ahead you deserve a vacation.
Mango Madness
One sip of this tea and you'll do anything to get your hands on more. In fact, we're a bit worried about letting people get a taste. There might be riots. Looting. Traffic jams. It's a lot of responsibility! But who can blame you for going crazy over this delicious white tea? It's fruity. It's refreshing. It tastes just like a ripe piece of mango. In short, it's total madness.
Ginger Pear
Some flavours are just made for each other. Pear and ginger are definitely two of them. The combo of sweet, delicate pear and warm, spicy ginger is more than the sum of its parts especially in this perfectly balanced, organic white tea. With ginger, cinnamon, pear, apple and rosehips, it's lightly spiced, lushly fruity and deliciously comforting. No wonder pear and ginger are so inseparable. They're just so good together.
Gold Rush
Mulberries are a pretty precious fruit, so you don't find them in tea very often. After all, mulberry trees are usually reserved for silk making, as they're the only thing silkworms will eat. No wonder they're naturally sweet and rich, with an almost caramel-like flavour. In a word, decadent. Here we pair golden mulberries with creamy coconut and delicate white tea, for a tea that is guaranteed to give you gold fever. Eureeka! (MK Kosher)
Secret Weapon
Looking for a tea that'll give you the edge you need to succeed? Try this delicious blend. It's got white tea, the favourite drink of Chinese emperors, plus goji berries, a legendary superfood. Add in licorice, almonds and cocoa nibs, and you've got yourself a winning combination. It's an amazingly tasty weapon of choice. (MK Kosher)
Straight White Tea
Bai Hao Yin Zhen
This is a true luxury, considered by many to be China's most famous white tea. To create it, only the downy, silvery unopened buds of the tea plant are picked by hand during the April harvest. How does this influence the flavour and aroma? Connoisseurs rave about its sweet complexity, and about an underlying grassy taste that makes it uniquely perfect. (MK Kosher)
Flavoured Green Tea
Butterfly Jasmine
This rare reserve tea is perhaps the finest jasmine we've ever tasted. It begins with an exceptional hand-picked Chinese green tea from the Fujian region, and is layered with fresh jasmine petals night after night until the scent and flavour are indescribably deep and sweet. Then the tea is bound together by hand into the shape of beautiful small butterflies. Indulge in perfection. (MK Kosher)
Cold Zing
At the first sign of a cold, there's only one thing to do. Reach for the most soothing tea in your cupboard and sip it till you feel human again. And this super-comforting blend is packed with so many traditional remedies, it might just do the trick. It's got tangy citrus and lemongrass, calming peppermint and a powerful blast of echinacea and eleuthero root ginseng's distant cousin. Most importantly, there's a much-needed caffeine kick from a healthy dose of green tea. Zing for joy! That cold doesn't stand a chance.
Countess of Seville
There are so many rumours about Earl Grey and his gallivanting ways. We like this one, about a trip he took to Spain. It's said he fell for the Countess of Seville, a beautiful, dark-haired woman with a penchant for oranges. But did he really woo her with this green tea scented with bergamot and orange oil, cornflowers and orange zest? Either way, it's a sweet, romantic twist on his original recipe. (MK Kosher)
Detox
Need a system reboot? Got a new years resolution to live up to? Try this tasty blend of traditional ingredients, like rooibos, sencha, ginger, ginkgo, lemongrass, and juniper berries. Trust us, even buying it will make you feel like a new person. Not working? Just go back to bed. (MK Kosher)
Green Seduction
Ah, the pomegranate. In Greek mythology, Hades, god of the underworld, used pomegranate seeds to seduce Persephone, goddess of fertility. In Biblical circles, many think that Eve was actually tempted by a pomegranate, not an apple. What a fruit. We've used it to create a green tea that's just as powerful. Sweetly tart, and seductive on every level. (MK Kosher)
Kiwis Big Adventure
There's something about a kiwi fruit that just makes us smile. It could be their cute round shape, or their fuzzy skin, or their bright green colour. But we think the best thing about a kiwi is the taste like a cross between a peach and a melon, only better. So it goes without saying that this kiwi-spiked green tea is a real treat. From the second the aroma hits you, you know you're in for something special. Sweet, fruity, tart and lively, it's an adventure you won't soon forget.
Kokomo Green
Want to get away from it all? Somewhere exotic, perhaps? Try heading for a little place called Kokomo, where the sun is always hot and the drinks are always ice cold. Where fresh green tea mingles with the fruity, tropical flavours of pineapple, mango and papaya. A place where every aroma is intoxicating and every sip ends in a smile. Yes, this magical place really exists...and we've got your first class ticket right here. Down in Kokomo, you'll be falling in love.
Lime Gelato
Remember the summer you spent in Italy? Sipping espresso on the terrace, catching a ride on the back of a stranger's Vespa, and of course, trying your first taste of tart, creamy lime gelato. With its fresh, fruity aroma and smooth flavour, this deliciously creamy mix of fruit and green tea will bring you right back. Try it iced. On a terrace. While the moon hits your eye.
Movie Night
This popcorn tea is better than the real thing. First of all, it has no calories. Second of all, it's sweetened with maple and apple. Third of all, it has green tea, which studies (well, ok, experience) say is the ideal brew for keeping you quietly alert throughout a late-night flick. Great for thrillers, dramas, westerns or comedies. Drink it at home or smuggle it into the theatre.
North African Mint
Explore Northern Africa, from its souks to its deserts, with this intense combination of spices and mint. It combines organic green tea and peppermint with organic cardamom, ginger, licorice root, fennel clove and black pepper. Deliciously sweet, with all the romance of the Maghreb. (MK Kosher)
Some Velvet Morning
Everyone has their favourite remedy after a wild night out. Some people drink a glass of tomato juice. Others swear by salt water. We say, why not try a nice cup of tea? This organic green tea blend is citrusy, soothing and delicious. Plus it'll give you a little boost to help you start the day. If you can make it to the kettle, you're in good shape. (MK Kosher)
Sweet Ginger Heat
There are tons of reasons to love ginger. It's been used as a digestive aid for thousands of years: Confucius wrote in 500 BC that he never ate a meal without some on hand. And according to ayurveda, ginger balances excess kapha or sluggishness. Plus there's nothing more soothing on a sore throat than ginger's spicy heat. With ginger, green tea, licorice and orange peel, this sweet and spicy blend is a real multitasker and it still finds time to taste great. (MK Kosher)
The Spice Is Right
Is there any flavour combo more comforting than orange and cinnamon? There's something about it that's instantly comforting like warm spice cake or a glass of hot punch. But nostalgia isn't the only thing giving you that warm fuzzy feeling. Cinnamon is said to have warming properties, and one sip of this spice-laden green tea is all it takes to get that cozy fireside feeling going. Add some sweet orange peel and a zingy hint of chili pepper, and you've got a zesty blend that warms you up from the inside out. (MK Kosher)
Toasted Walnut
Traditional Chinese medicine says walnuts are a warming food. Which makes sense, because this is the kind of tea you spontaneously want to cozy up to on a cold winter afternoon. The comforting, lightly bitter taste of toasted walnuts is sweetened and deepened with dried pineapple, coconut, almond and organic green tea. Sip it in front of an open fire and chase away the cold.
Straight Green Tea
Butterfly Jasmine
This rare reserve tea is perhaps the finest jasmine we've ever tasted. It begins with an exceptional hand-picked Chinese green tea from the Fujian region, and is layered with fresh jasmine petals night after night until the scent and flavour are indescribably deep and sweet. Then the tea is bound together by hand into the shape of beautiful small butterflies. Indulge in perfection. (MK Kosher)
Dragon Pearls
Incredible as it seems, each of these pearls was hand-rolled. It's a tradition that began over 1300 years ago, when a Chinese emperor wanted to give an original gift of love. Made from green tea scented with blooming jasmine flowers, they are perfect little gems. When you infuse them in hot water, they will release the most intensely beautiful scent as they slowly unravel and come to life. (MK Kosher)
Dragonwell
Watered by rain from a local dragon, brewed by a Chinese emperor for his ailing mother, and honoured as the Qing Dynasty's Imperial tea, Dragonwell is surrounded by lore. Imitators abound, but our Dragonwell is the real thing, grown and processed in China's West Lake Region. The leaves are hand plucked and meticulously pressed in a hot wok over and over until the ideal temperature, shape, and flavour are reached. Perfection in every cup. (MK Kosher)
Genmaicha
Some people call Genmaicha popcorn tea because it contains whole roasted grains of brown rice, some of which have popped. Others call it the Rice Krispie of green teas. Either way, genmaicha was originally drunk by poor Japanese who used the rice as a filler because they couldn't afford enough tea leaves. It soon became all the rage. Today, everyone is addicted to its sweet, toasted rice flavour. (MK Kosher)
Gyokuro Yamashiro
For the true connoisseur. Unlike regular green tea, Gyokuro Yamashiro (literally 'Jade Dew') is shaded for 6-7 weeks prior to plucking, so it's dark, extra-energizing and extremely rare outside of Japan. Experts rhapsodize over its extraordinary tea oil and chlorophyll notes. And its lengthy time out of the sun gives it an intensely rich flavour think dark, leafy greens mingled with buttery sweetness. Truly exquisite. (MK Kosher)
Japanese Sencha
Japanese monks were writing about tea in the 9th century, but the world had to wait until 1740 for Sencha, when a tea merchant named Nagatani perfected a new process of steaming, rolling and heat-drying green tea. The result? An emerald-green tea that's refreshing and smooth. No wonder it's Japan's most popular drink. (MK Kosher)
Korean Sejak
Korean tea is exceptionally rare and difficult to find, and this one is worth the trouble. Grown in a monastic style garden in the Halla Mountain slopes of Korea, this tea is lovingly tended by those who enter into a monk lifestyle to devote their lives to tea. The result is a tea that is unusually complex and pleasantly earthy. Count your blessings each sip is divine salvation. (MK Kosher)
Matcha Matsu
In Japanese, 'matsu' literally means 'pine tree'. But it's also a term that indicates excellence. This powdered green tea lives up to its name. Quality this high can only be graded as 'matsu'. Strong in taste and aroma, this matcha is pure indulgence perfect for cleansing the palate during a fabulous meal. Whisk it into almost-boiled water and enjoy. (MK Kosher)
Roasted Gyokuro
If you're looking to treat yourself to an exceptional green tea, you can't go wrong with gyokuro. One of the highest grades of Japanese tea, gyokuros are shade-grown for a sweet, grassy flavour all their own. And unlike your average gyokuro, this particular tea is slow-roasted during processing, which gives it a rich, toasty finish. With notes of brown butter and a uniquely nutty aroma, this is one luxurious tea. Hey, why have anything but the best?
Silk Dragon Jasmine
Made from premium green tea, our Silk Dragon is a limited-edition treasure. To create it, night-blooming jasmine is gathered in the morning and kept cool all day. In the evening, when the flowers burst open and release their scent, they are placed with the tea until midnight. This is repeated with fresh flowers over the course of five nights, infusing the tea with a most magical flavour. (MK Kosher)
Sencha Ashikubo
If you're a lover of Japanese sencha, this rare export is a must. It comes from the stunning Ashikubo valley in Japan, and is dried the traditional way using wood fires. As a result, it's milder and less grassy than regular senchas. Admirers point to its characteristic fruitiness and to the hint of toast that comes from the firing process. Most say they can't go a day without it. (MK Kosher)
Flavoured Oolong Tea
Bubbie's Baklava
Just about every grandma has a secret recipe for special occasions. For David's Bubbie, it's baklava studded with walnuts, almonds and pistachios and scented with honey and rose. And no family get-together is complete without it. This honey-scented oolong is an homage to that deliciously nutty treat. With candied fruit, nuts and spices, it's rich enough to make any occasion feel special.
Citron Oolong
This blend of high-grown oolong is truly rejuvenating. It's scented with lemon myrtle, jasmine and natural citrus essences, and the result is light, fresh and uplifting. Hot, it's soothing and citrusy. Iced, it's an unbelievable thirst quencher. And infused into vodka, it makes the world's best martinis.
Ginseng Oolong
At first sight, this ginseng-coated tea looks more like moss-covered pebbles than tea leaves. And it tastes just as wonderfully weird as it looks: rich and crisp with a hint of shea butter and a sweet ginseng flavour that lingers long after each sip. Plus oolong and ginseng are two of Chinese medicine's favourite ingredients you're basically one cup away from being a superhero. Try it 'gung fu' style, by steeping the leaves multiple times. Every cup is a completely new experience. (MK Kosher)
Happy Kombucha
Our deliciously fruity blend has its roots in the 1960s, when every cool hippie was growing kombucha. Today, hipsters are again promoting this fermented tea for its delicious taste and good vibes. We've combined it with oolong, mango, pineapple and safflowers to make it taste like a golden ray of psychedelic sunshine. Yeah.
Long Life Oolong
Peach-scented oolong has long been popular in China possibly because, in ancient legends, magical peaches were consumed by the gods to achieve immortality. The best way to make it? Place organic oolong in an airtight room with baskets of peaches to scent it. Then add peach and apricotpieces, almond slices, orange peel and safflower petals. Immortality never tasted so sweet. (MK Kosher)
Pineapple Oolong
With their exotic, golden flavour and dramatic spiky crown, pineapples are clearly the king of the fruit world. Their original name was 'Ananas,' from the Tupi word for 'excellent fruit' we couldn't have said it better ourselves. Here we blend big pieces of pineapple with Tie Kwan Yin oolong tea, for the perfect balance of fresh, fruity and floral. The result? A bright, refreshing blend that's equally amazing hot or iced. Trust us it's like drinking a cup of sunshine. (MK Kosher)
The Skinny
Looking for the next big beauty secret or weight loss trend? Let us give you a hint: try water. It's true, water is just about the healthiest thing you can put in your body - after all, you're made out of it. And what better way to jazz water up than with delicious traditional digestives like pu'erh, oolong, ginger and eleuthero root. Go ahead, drink up. The only thing you'll gain is wisdom. (MK Kosher)
Vanilla Orchid
We're still searching for the secret to eternal bliss, but we're pretty sure one cup of this blend will get you at least five minutes' worth. It all starts with the very best leaves: a premium oolong from China's Fujian Province called Huang Jin Gui. A popular wedding gift in China, Huang Jin Gui is prized for its pretty yellow colour and romantic floral scent. Here we bring out this special leaf's orchid aroma with a touch of vanilla. The result? A perfectly balanced, subtle cup that's equal parts rich, creamy and floral. Feeling blissful yet? (MK Kosher)
Straight Oolong Tea
Oolong Supreme
This super-rare, highly sought after tea comes from one of the most famous holy places in China: Mount Wudang, known for its ancestral temples, its world-renowned martial arts and of course, for its seriously next level tea. And this twisted leaf Dan Cong oolong is no exception. With notes of ripe plum and shea butter, plus a unique hint of roastiness, it's lightly nutty, surprisingly complex and totally refreshing. Because, hey. It's not just any oolong. It's supreme. (MK Kosher)
Pouchong Oolong
After years of searching, we've finally found the ultimate Pouchong Oolong. So what makes it so special? The natural floral aroma, with each leaf rolled in a signature style to preserve the fragrant tea oils. It's grown in the Wenshan area of Taiwan, known for its beautiful landscape, clean water and fertile soil. The tea estate sits on a high hill overlooking a fresh, pure reservoir. And the difference comes through in the cup: fresh, complex and vegetal, with hints of ripe fruit and pine. Trust us it was worth the wait. (MK Kosher)
Quangzhou Milk Oolong
This ultra-rare oolong from the Wuyi Mountains of China is velvety smooth and lightly creamy, with a subtle hint of orchid. It's said that it came about when the moon fell in love with a comet. The comet passed her by, as comets will do. The moon cried milky tears, which chilled the tea fields, withering the leaves and giving them a delicate creaminess. It's been a rare luxury ever since.
Tie Kwan Yin
Many years ago, a poor farmer had a dream: the goddess of mercy, Kwan Yin, came to him and spoke of a great treasure in a nearby cave. When he went there, he found a single tea shoot. He planted it and it grew. So he gave cuttings to his neighbours, and they all prospered by creating a beautiful, flowery oolong. Our version is hand-produced on a small family garden near the mountains of Taiwan. (MK Kosher)
Tung Ting Vietnam
The word 'tribute' usually makes us think of cover bands and Vegas shows. But in this case, it refers to an amazing oolong tea from a small garden in Lam Dong, Vietnam, made to celebrate the Tung Ting teas of Taiwan. And unlike most cover bands, this tribute does the original justice. Each leaf is carefully hand-rolled, for a taste that is light, piney and perfectly balanced. But this tea really shines when you drink it 'gung fu' style, by steeping it multiple times. Now that's a tribute we'd like to see more of. (MK Kosher)
Chai Tea
Chai Guarana
Add a little guarana to high-quality black tea that's flavoured with ginger, cinnamon and anis, and you've got a seriously tasty burst of energy. Guarana is a highly stimulating tropical berry, making for a delicious way to wake up and get energized. You'll definitely fall in love with it, either as a plain black tea or steeped in hot milk.
Chocolate Chili Chai
Is winter giving you the shivers? Try this fiery southwest chai. A blend of black tea, chocolate and ancho and Aleppo chilis, it gives new meaning to the term 'hot chocolate.' With its sweet, rich chocolate flavour and feisty finish, this bold blend is perfect base for the ultimate latte with a little frothed or steamed milk. If you really want to feel the heat, add a splash of cinnamon whisky. Arriba!
Glitter & Gold
This deep dark Chinese tea is like a gorgeous starry night, glimmering with gold and silver sugar crystals that shimmer as they steep. Take a sip and the slow suggestion of cinnamon will warm your body. Your toes will tingle and your mind will turn to fireworks, falling stars, late-night seduction. It's basically magic. (Is it getting hot in here, or is it just the tea?)
Pure Chai
If you want a straightforward, traditional chai, this is the blend for you. It's a simple, perfectly balanced combination of Indian black tea, cinnamon and cloves. Delicious when brewed on its own, and even more delicious when simmered in steaming hot milk on the stove. Why overcomplicate things? (MK Kosher)
Saigon Chai
In the 1950s, Saigon cinnamon was one of the finest spices on the market. But then came the Vietnam War, and exports ground to a halt. Half a century later, it's finally comeback time. Prepare for dark, sweet perfection. This blend of Assam tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and pink peppercorns is on another level of delicious. Try it iced, Viet-style, with sweetened condensed milk. (MK Kosher)
Pumpkin Chai
Let's face it, the best thing about fall is pumpkin pie. And this spiced black tea is arguably just as delicious. It's got all the warmth of cinnamon, carrot and cloves, plus the sweetness of caramel and pumpkin candy. For a true autumn treat, top it up with steamed milk and stir in a spoonful of brown sugar. It'll make you wish it were fall all year round.
Vanilla Chai
There's no better way to warm up a chilly winter day than a hot cup of chai. The combo of rich black tea and exotic spice is like a cup of pure comfort. And this spicy black tea blend turns up the heat even more with a sweet and creamy hint of vanilla. It's as cozy as a teddy bear wearing a scarf. In front of a roaring fire. While cuddling with a puppy. Try it with milk and sugar for a warming treat that'll have you wishing for snow.
Flavoured Black Tea
Chocolate Macaroon
There's nothing more nostalgic than a coconut macaroon. We're not talking about the super-trendy French cookies here...for us, it's all about the bake sale classic: chewy, golden coconut cookies dipped in rich dark chocolate. And with black tea, toasted coconut, cacao nibs, pecans and rock sugar, this rich, nutty blend is just as good as the real thing. The only difference? You don't have to wait for a bake sale to get a taste.
Brazillionaire
Have you heard tales of the wealthy Brazilian eccentric? According to local stories, he was completely obsessed with Brazil nuts, the source of his fortune. He insisted on having them in every meal even his afternoon tea! Was it needless decadence, or a stroke of genius? You'll have to taste it yourself to decide. This fabulously opulent blend combines black tea with whole Brazil nuts, raisins and coconut. Trust us it tastes like a million bucks. (MK Kosher)
Cranberry Pear
A few months ago, David tried a fruity dessert tea that knocked his socks off. It was subtle and refined, delicately floral and slightly sweet. He was intrigued. He had to have it. But what was the secret ingredient? Cranberries. Normally associated with a neon red holiday sauce, these beautiful berries really sing when paired with rich, floral black tea. Here we blend them with big pieces of pear and apple for the fruit and black tea blend you won't believe you ever went without.
Earl Grey
Everyone has tried Earl Grey. And yet this one is different. It's made with an exceptional blend of rare, ethically-grown, high-altitude black teas. Pure oil of bergamot, a citrus fruit, gives it an aroma that's headier than usual. And the cornflower petals add a subtly perfect fragrance. Discover the difference. You'll never go back.
Fantasy Island
It's spring again, time to fall in love. So start steeping this tea. Let the black leaves unfurl, the coconut swirl and the heady scent of raspberry sweep you away. You'll find yourself on a magical island where the sun always shines except, of course, when the moonlight is reflected on the soft waves and some fabulous admirer is whispering in your ear. Then try it iced. It's even better. (MK Kosher)
Love Tea #7
One sip of #7 and you'll find yourself head over heels. Mysteriously changed. Magically happy. Walking on air. How does it work? Frankly, we don't know. Our blender came up with it and then just ran off with the girl of his dreams. Maybe it's the chocolate bits that lower your inhibitions. Or the seductive strawberries. Or the romantic rose petals. Either way, this black tea is seriously lucky.
Blueberry Jam
Blueberries might just be the greatest fruit around after all, they're the star ingredient of North America's favourite muffin. And hundreds of years before moms were making them into jams, jellies and cakes, blueberries were called 'star berries' and revered for their healing powers. Another little known fact about blueberries is that they make for one great cup of tea when you blend them with black tea, elderberries, cornflowers and stevia, it's the perfect companion to your morning toast. (MK Kosher)
Buttered Rum
Hot buttered rum is so delicious we want it all day long. Unfortunately, most employers frown on workplace drunkenness, so we came up with this rich and creamy alternative. Toasted coconut and vanilla beans mingle with black tea in a caramelized caress of flavours. Decadent hot or iced, it also blends perfectly with dark rum, brown sugar and a dash of milk so go ahead and indulge your inner pirate, off the clock. (MK Kosher)
Cream of Earl Grey
Lovers of Earl Grey adore this creamy alternative to the original blend. You'll recognize the same high-quality black tea, the same citrus burst of bergamot oil, the same beautiful grey-blue petals. However this version adds a touch of vanilla, and the result is an unexpectedly rich, creamy taste experience. (MK Kosher)
LA LA Lemon
David was in L.A. when he had his lemon-black-tea revelation. It was early in the morning, the sun was bright, the joggers beautiful. He took a sip of a citrusy black tea and dreamed of starting a tea shop all his own. A place where you could find the smoothest, most citrusy organic black tea on earth with lemon oil, orange oil and real bits of zest. Truly, La La Lemon makes anything seem possible. (MK Kosher)
Read My Lips
Okay, this is probably the world's best chocolate tea. Honestly. Better than dessert. More reliable than sex. It's a totally decadent combination of China black tea, vanilla, peppermint, chocolate bits and spicy red peppercorns. Plus it contains little red candy lips for a kiss of sweetness. In other words, it's a completely satisfying spring experience with no guilt or strings attached.
Santa's Secret
Ever wonder how Santa manages to deliver all those presents in just one night? Well here's the hush-hush formula. He uses a special combination of black tea, peppermint and spices all sprinkled with real little candy canes. It's both energizing and remarkably soothing. All Santa needs is one cup and his motto changes from 'ho ho ho' to 'go go go'.
Salted Caramel
There's no better treat than a salted caramel. You won't find this in your history books, but we've heard that Romeo seduced Juliet with a salt-sprinkled toffee. Rich, buttery and sweet with a kiss of salt who can resist? So it goes without saying that it makes for a seriously delicious tea. This is a rich black tea blend, strewn with pieces of English toffee, coconut, caramel and a touch of French sea salt. It's guaranteed to seduce your taste buds.
The Earl's Garden
When he wasn't in China discovering secret tea recipes, Britain's second Earl Grey lived at Howick Hall in England, just like his ancestors had done since 1319. And also like his ancestors, he was a keen gardener and outdoorsman. This tea would no doubt have suited him, with the characteristic black tea and bergamot highlighted by strawberries and essence of black currant.
Three Wishes
In old Arabian tales, there was always a genie around ready to grant you three wishes. In comparison, the modern world seems a bit dull. So how do you escape reality? Try this rare tea. Its exotic fragrances of jasmine and rose water will transport you to the time of Ali Baba. Enjoy it chilled, or look into the hot steam and dream of genies.
Red Velvet Cake
What's not to love about a red velvet cake? It's chocolaty, it's rich, and it's bright red. We're the first to admit it's a pretty flashy dessert. If other cakes are birds of a feather, the red velvet is the peacock which is exactly why we love it so much. And this sweet, lightly creamy black tea blend perfectly captures our favourite dessert. With semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, beetroot powder and little red sprinkles, it's rich, delicious and a whole lot of fun.
Maple Sugar
Ever hear that Quebeckers are obsessed with maple syrup? Well, it's true. In our Montreal office, it's not unusual to find people pouring it into their morning oatmeal, over fresh fruit and, of course, into their tea. It adds a hint of warmth and sweetness that's totally unbeatable. So it was only a matter of time before we came out with this all-natural, maple-sweetened tea. With black tea, apple, cinnamon and real pieces of maple sugar, it's a warming hug on a fall day and a delicious taste of Quebec. (MK Kosher)
Straight Black Tea
Assam Banaspaty
From the little Banaspaty estate in the Karbi Anglong district of India, this impressive Assam has a naturally sweet and malty body, a full red colour and a complexity that can handle a nice splash of milk. Perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea. (MK Kosher)
David's Breakfast Tea
This is the kind of tea that puts you in a great mood, inspires harmonious relationships and makes you outrageously productive. How did we do it? First we selected our favourite organic and biodynamic black teas from India and Nepal. And then we sipped different variations until we'd created the ultimate balance. Could there be a better way to start your day? (MK Kosher)
English Breakfast
There's nothing better than waking up to a genuinely fabulous cup of English Breakfast tea. Which is why we took great care in choosing our signature blend. We were looking for the perfect balance. Something with body and a satisfyingly full flavour, without being overpowering. The winner? A flowery pekoe from Sri Lanka. You'll find yourself drinking it all day long. (MK Kosher)
Kenyan Tinderet
Discover this rare tea from the Tinderet Estate in the highlands of Kenya's Rift Valley. 'Tinderet' means 'Place of Lightning', and the afternoons often see flashes of lightning after a morning of sun. So consider yourself warned: this rich and satisfying tea can leave you thunderstruck. Most connoisseurs drink it as a little luxury after a good meal. With its strong, earthy flavour and light honey notes, we recommend trying it with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And dessert. And your midnight snack. (MK Kosher)
Nepal Black
There are good things brewing in the Highlands of Nepal. Like this hand-made black tea, from a small family-owned tea garden named Jun Chiyabari. From the first sip you'll notice its rich, sweet, honey-like flavour. What doesn't come through in the cup is how much good this little tea garden does. They've set up a ton of amazing community programs to benefit local schools, underprivileged families, and the elderly. This particular tea is a DAVIDsTEA exclusive now that's a good thing. (MK Kosher)
Lapsang Souchong Star
If you like single-malt whisky and fine cigars, then this is the tea for you. Most say it was invented when soldiers took over a tea factory in Xingun (Star Village) during the Qing dynasty in China. When they finally left, the workers had to dry their tea in record time to sell it at the market. In desperation they lit open fires of pine to speed the process, and wood-smoked Lapsang Souchong was born. (MK Kosher)
Orange Pekoe
We've polled the entire country and this is, in fact, the perfect pekoe. The classic of all classics. The ultimate pick-me-up. The blend to turn to when you crave a good, honest cup of tea. Some say it evokes thoughts of warm comfort and familiar friends, others go off on tangents about doughnuts and red roses. Either way, everyone falls hard for this tea from top estates in Sri Lanka. (MK Kosher)
Wild Black Yunnan
In Yunnan province in southern China, ancient tea trees still grow wild in the forests. They can be hundreds, even thousands, of years old. Purists rave about the rich brown colour of the steeped tea, the aroma of sweet forest floor, the clean, natural finish. Our wild black Yunnan uses small, new leaves plucked from wild-growing trees, tightly twisted to preserve their natural flavour. (MK Kosher)
Jasmine Black Pearls
Black pearls, black jasmine teas and Chinese black teas are all extremely rare. So what do you get when you combine all three? A seriously special, super-rare, once-in-a-lifetime tea. And we're super excited to announce that it's a DAVIDsTEA exclusive! But this hand-rolled tea is more than just a pretty face: it's rich, floral and uniquely refreshing. With its delicate jasmine aroma, caramel notes and lingering wild honey sweetness, it's definitely a taste worth seeking out.
Second Flush Darjeeling
Darjeeling is known as the 'champagne' of teas: if it doesn't come from India's Darjeeling region, you aren't allowed to use the name. That might be why the best Darjeelings taste just like the mountains they were grown on. While the first leaves in the spring tend to be delicate and almost green in flavour, second flush Darjeelings generally have a richer, darker taste. This one is bright, woodsy and earthy, with notes of honey, fresh mushrooms and meadow flowers like a forest getaway in a cup. (MK Kosher)
Straight Pu'erh Tea
Golden Pu'erh
For more than 1,700 years, the Chinese have been drinking pu'erh especially as a digsetif after a heavy meal. It is traditionally aged underground, and as with fine wine, the older it is, the more prized its taste. This particular tea is part of the new school of pu'erh production. Called a 'cooked' (shou) pu'erh, it's heated and fully dried to simulate aging. So unlike some pu'erhs, you don't have to rinse the leaves before. It's smooth, earthy and very strong, with a hint of dark honey. (MK Kosher)
Flavoured Pu'erh Tea
Chocolate Orange
Some things are just meant to go together. Cups and saucers. Cream and sugar. Tea and cookies. And chocolate and orange. It's a harmonious combo alright rich, sweet and decadently dark. And this delicious pu'erh blend has it all: big chocolate chips to satisfy your dessert craving and zesty orange peel for a touch of fruitiness and spice. It's the kind of thing you could get used to. Which is good, because you and this tea are totally made for each other. (MK Kosher)
Cinnamon Heart
OK, so this tea doesn't really have cinnamon hearts in it, but you'll be forgiven for thinking it does. It's a sweet blend of Sri Lankan cinnamon, spices, lemon, pu'erh and Chinese black tea. Unlike candy, however, this tea has no calories and no sugar rush. Just a nice jolt of caffeine from the pu'erh. So indulge away.
Coffee Pu'erh
Pu'erh has come a long way since its heyday as a tribute tea to Chinese emperors a thousand years back. It's still got that legendary taste, but the new 'cooked' varieties are really something special. Our blend helps mark this milestone by combining pu'erh with coffee beans, chocolate, caramel and almond flavour. Even your coffee-addict friends will go crazy for it. (MK Kosher)
Garcinia Goodness
We all sometimes need a little after-dinner relief. Next time, reach for this earthy, citrusy tea. It combines pu'erh and garcinia two traditional metabolism boosters. Haven't heard of garcinia? It's a small tropical fruit that looks a bit like a mini pumpkin. And in its native Asia, it's been used as a natural appetite suppressant for centuries. Here we blend it with black tea, pu'erh, orange peel and hibiscus, for a rich, earthy tea you can feel good about drinking. The perfect end to any meal.
Pu'erh Ginger
Combining pu'erh and ginger is like creating an arsenal. These are two of Chinese medicine's best weapons, each with their own long history of legends and traditional uses. They also happen to be delicious. Especially when blended with a hint of orange, for a hint of citrus to complement the zesty earthiness. (MK Kosher)
Guayusa
Chocolate Rocket
Need a boost? Try this tea. First you'll experience a pure, sweet hit of chocolate. Then you'll find yourself awash in the freshness of raspberries. Followed by the richness of almonds and chicory. And then, bang, you'll realize you've been infused with roasted Brazilian maté. How will you know? It's what's giving you all that crazy energy. Just fly with it. (MK Kosher)
Cocoa Canela
This super-chocolatey blend is an homage to Mexican hot chocolate, which is traditionally spiked with cinnamon. First we take carob, cocoa nibs, cocoa powder and chocolate chips for a rich chocolate overload. Then we add pieces of cinnamon for a hint of spicy warmth. And to top it all off we add South American yerba maté for a seriously sweet energy boost. Try it as a latte with a shake of cinnamon and a warm churro for dipping. (MK Kosher Dairy)
Green Mate
According to ancient South American legend, maté was a gift from the gods. When an old man saved two visiting goddesses from a jaguar attack, they thanked him with the maté plant, from which he could prepare a drink of friendship. It has been a central part of Argentinian social gatherings and daily life ever since. (MK Kosher)
Guayusa
We are seriously passionate about guayusa around here, and we couldn't be more excited to spread the word. Not only does it pack an incredible burst of energy, it's also deliciously smooth, never bitter and lightly sweet. Plus it's steeped in over 2000 years of Amazonian tradition and legend. To learn more about this wonder-herb, a bunch of the DAVIDsTEA staff went down to Ecuador to check out the guayusa farms, meet the workers and even harvest leaves for tea. Who knows one of us might have even plucked this very batch. (MK Kosher)
Honey Bee
This honey-flavoured, honeybush tea is just about the sweetest energy-enhancer around. It has all the zest of real lemon and lemon myrtle, and all the smooth flavour of rooibos and green rooibos. But the real secret ingredient? Green maté. It provides a beautiful burst of energy for both mind and body. Strewn with calendula petals and cornflowers, this is the nectar of choice for busy bees.
Jumpy Monkey
This brew gives you a tasty boost with a unique combination of exotic ingredients. It combines four types of coffee beans with Argentinian maté, and laces them with carob, white chocolate and chicory. The result is sweet, rich and deliciously satisfying. Plus it's a sweet treat you can enjoy guilt-free, since this blend has virtually no calories. No wonder they say maté makes you efficient.
Jungle Ju Ju
Head for the Ju Ju Jungle, made with a guayusa herb and fruit blend that'll make you feel like swinging from the vines and hanging from the trees. No wonder. Guayusa contains a combo of the natural stimulants also found in green tea and dark chocolate. People claim it protects you against snake bites, gives you courage, and helps you spiritually connect to nature. With its smooth flavour and natural buzz, we'll just say it makes for a deliciously stimulating cup of tea.
Main Squeeze
We all know the classic morning ritual: a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. But what if you could get your energy boost and fresh-squeezed fruity taste all in one cup? We're serious. Shake up your old routine with this fruity maté blend, and you may never go back. It's got the juicy flavour of orange, papaya and pineapple, plus the high-energy punch of green yerba maté. Just one sip and you'll feel alert, refreshed and ready for anything. Say hello to your new main squeeze. (MK Kosher)
Queen Of Tarts
When it comes to refreshment, this blend is playing with a stacked deck. It's loaded with tangy hibiscus flowers, which bring their signature deep red colour and lip-puckering taste. Plus golden marigold blossoms, for a pretty pop of yellow. But that's not all we have an ace up our sleeve. We upped the ante with a super-energizing burst of Ecuadorian guayusa. Fresh, fruity, tart and invigorating...could this be the perfect iced tea? Looks like it's in the cards...(MK Kosher)
Green Rooibos
Creme Brulee
No one can resist this organic green rooibos tea. Seriously. The aroma is just too outrageously tempting. Creamy, caramel, decadent, rich. And the taste! How can something so sweet be so light and fresh? Plus, rooibos is caffeine free, making it the perfect drink for after dinner or before bed. Could life be more wonderful? (MK Kosher)
Eggnog
We're pretty strict about certain holiday traditions. Especially the delicious ones. So it should come as no surprise that we insist on sipping eggnog at every festive occasion. All things considered, it's almost crazy that it took us this long to find the perfect eggnog tea. But trust us, this rich and creamy rooibos blend was definitely worth the wait. With white chocolate, mini meringues and a hint of nutmeg, it's a brand new tradition we can't believe we ever went without.
Green & Fruity
When it comes to rooibos, some say green is the new red. Because while red rooibos tastes great, some say the new wave of unoxidized green rooibos is even better. What's so special? The production process, which is similar to that of green tea, gives it a smooth, fresh taste. Here we've topped it up with the tropical flavours of papaya, apple, mango and peach. (MK Kosher)
Green Rooibos
When South African rooibos is quickly withered and steamed to prevent oxidation, it retains its green colour rather than turning a dark red. The flavour is all its own, too: light, fresh, and mildly sweet, with a grassy aroma similar to sencha and other steamed green teas. There's a new rooibos in town - taste the difference for yourself. (MK Kosher)
Oh Canada
Looking for a taste of Canada? Try this red rooibos tea. It's sweetened with (what else?) maple syrup and sprinkled with delicious maple leaf candies. Plus it's 100% diplomatic (well, caffeine-free) and tastes great in both our official languages. With green rooibos, honeybush, caramel and toffee bits to shake things up. A truly authentic Canadian experience.
Super Ginger
The idea came at about 2 in the morning one chilly night. David had a cold. He'd been drinking cup after cup of ginger tea, but there was a problem. His ginger tea had a ton of caffeine. His throat felt great, but he couldn't get any sleep. Something had to be done. So he decided to create an herbal ginger tea the spiciest, most comforting tisane he could imagine, with lots of ginger, peppercorns and green rooibos. And, most importantly, zero caffeine. The result? A cold remedy so soothing...you might even say it has superpowers. (MK Kosher)
Herbal
Apple Custard
We hope you're sitting down. Because we're about to make a pretty bold claim. This might just be the most decadently creamy blend we've ever tasted. Seriously. It's almost crazy how much it tastes like a warm and comforting custard or pudding. It blends sweet apples, golden raisins and honey-scented chamomile with a rich and creamy hint of vanilla. Go ahead, indulge. With this in your cupboard, who needs dessert?
Cocomint Cream
Coconut and mint might not be a familiar combo, but trust us. It's seriously addictive. As soon as you open your first tin and experience its fresh, sweet-mint aroma, you'll understand. It's the kind of tea you always want to have within arm's reach. It makes a sweet little afternoon pick-me-up. Or a perfect finale to any meal. Or a midnight snack that won't keep you up all night. Refreshing, creamy, sweet and comforting, it's everything a tea ought to be.
Bear Trap
Seriously, this might be the best way to stop a bear in its tracks. They love berries, and this tea is full of them. The aroma of black currants, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries is totally irresistible. Plus it's calming, which is important when taming wild animals. Just don't try to take it away from them.
Bravissimo
When Pavarotti needed to ease a sore throat, he called for tea. Some say it was hot. Others swear it was cold. We think he probably drank it both ways. And that he would have loved this tisane. It's packed with licorice, chamomile, rosehip, orange peel and peppermint, as well as delicious goji berries. Perfect hot or iced. Caffeine free. (MK Kosher)
Cold 911
Bad colds require badass interventions. Take this tea, for example. It's a deliciously soothing mix of peppermint, juniper berries and apple. Pretty badass, right? If that's not extreme enough for you, you could try eating raw garlic, or gargling salt water, or inhaling lots of steam. Yeah...we didn't think so. Probably better just to stick to the tea. With its soothing citrus and mint aroma we can't guarantee miracle results, but at least we can guarantee it tastes great. (MK Kosher)
Egyptian Chamomile
Chamomile may seem like an ordinary herb, but it is really very special. Did you know people have been drinking it since the ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks? And every kid has enjoyed a cup before bedtime. It's been sipped for thousands of years for thousands of reasons. Probably the best reason is its aromatic, calming taste. Caffeine free. (MK Kosher)
Forever Nuts
It looks all normal when it's loose. But steep it and you'll see that it's nuts. Within seconds, this tempting jumble of almond slices and chunks, apple bits and cinnamon bark starts turning a crazy shade of pink. Why? Because it contains a hint of beetroot. That's what gives this rich almond tea its earthy depth and its all-natural signature colour. Deliciously nutty, decidedly addictive. Caffeine-free.
Goji Pop
Legend has it that Li Ching-Yuen was born in China in 1677 and died 256 years later in New York. His secret? Goji berries. Your secret? This hot pink tea filled with sweet, sweet goji berries, rosehips, citrusy lemon oil, apple, melon, marigold and hibiscus. It's probably the most delicious longevity formula ever. Which is key, since you'll be popping it for the next two centuries. Caffeine-free.
The Glow
This light, floral elixir is all about beauty. That's why it has rooibos, which is basically a liquid spa. It also boasts traditional stars like rose petals, rosehip and marigold. And time-honoured nourisher like nettle leaf. Plus there's cinnamon, Ayurveda's complexion saver. Just steeping it makes you glow. Caffeine-free. (MK Kosher)
Guava Cadabra
This sweet, tropical fruit blend is seriously magical. Don't believe us? Just ice yourself a cup and prepare to fall under its spell. First it enchants you with its pretty pink colour. Next it bewitches you with its irresistible aroma of ripe mango and guava. Then you take your first, utterly spellbinding sip. And before you know it...Guava Cadabra! You've completely fallen for its magic charms. Tart, sweet, exotic and refreshing, it's the potion of choice for any sorcerer in the know.
Hot Tropic
Calling all beach bunnies...you are going to flip out over this tea. It's amost excellent blend of tropical fruit, coconut and spices. It's sweet and mega creamy, just like a totally primo piña colada. And if you really want to get amped, try freezing it into ice cubes and putting them in your blender with agave and a little coconut milk. It's, like, off the wall. Take it from the big kahuna: this is one wave you definitely want to ride. Toes on the nose, dudes
Lemon Myrtle
Ever wonder what makes lemons so...lemony? It comes from something called 'citral,' a molecular compound that gives lemons their fresh citrus smell. And lemon myrtle contains about 20 times more citral than a lemon. That's right it's even more lemony than a lemon itself! Prized in perfume, aromatherapy and cooking, this sweet, lemony herb also happens to make the most refreshing, sublimely lemony tea in the universe. Ever. (MK Kosher)
Licorice Twist
Here's one for black licorice lovers. With its sweet anise seed taste, it's just like biting into a black licorice candy. But it's also packed with all sorts of good-for-you herbs and spices, from ginger root to nettle leaf. And if you're suffering from a sore throat, it doesn't get any more soothing than this. That's right: not only is this your new favourite sweet treat...it's also your new favourite cold remedy.
Magic Dragon
It's bright. It's flamboyant. It's totally over the top. Oh, and it's incredibly good for you. If you haven't gotten to know the dragon fruit yet, it's time you gave this crazy-looking cactus a try. Though it looks a little bizarre, the flavour is actually quite mild somewhere between a kiwi, a melon and a pear. And it's so packed with good stuff, it's being hailed as the next big super fruit. Taste it for yourself in this super tangy tropical blend. With apple, rosehip, hibiscus and blackberry leaves, it's a great introduction to a fruit you definitely want to know.
Mango Lassi
If you're a lover of Indian food, chances are you've had a taste of a Mango Lassi. If not, it's time you got acquainted. It's a deliciously creamy blend of fresh mango, yogurt and a hint of rosewater just about the coolest, most satisfying drink around. And this rich, fruity blend is our homage to the classic. It blends sweet, succulent mango with creamy vanilla and a floral hint of honey-kissed Egyptian chamomile. Our advice? Try it as an iced latte...or blend it into your next smoothie. (MK Kosher)
Midsummer Night's Dream
This citrusy-mint tea is refreshingly magical, with sweet apples, cool spearmint, tart gooseberries, orange oil, and petals of marigold and rose. But before you take a sip, we should probably warn you that it's a bit of a love potion. For some people, it seems to turn regular summer evenings into dreamlike nights of romance and enchantment. Ice it and see what happens. Caffeine-free.
Mighty Aphrodite
Since the day we opened our doors, raspberry leaf has been our number one most-requested ingredient. Why? Because it's a girl's best friend, especially for soon-to-be moms. Seriously, there are tons of amazing benefits to explore...But we mostlylove it for its sweet, herbal taste, especially in this calming blend of apple, rosehips, lemon balm and raspberries. It's deliciously soothing, lightly fruity and super good-for-you. (MK Kosher)

Combined with macadamia nuts, they make for a tea that is sweet, complex, and slightly earthy. Do they really have tons of other benefits, as the health freaks claim? We're too happy to care. Caffeine-free. (MK Kosher)

So hop in your sleigh, snuggle up, and pass a thermos around. It's lovely weather for a Sleigh Ride together.
Spearmint
The deep green leaves of this fresh-tasting herb grow in pointy spearhead formations. Perhaps this is what makes spearmint such a tried-and-true weapon against all sorts of daily adversities. It might also explain why it's such a sharp base for tea mojitos. Just add a tablespoon of lime, a shot of rum and a little sugar or agave to your cup. Serve hot or chilled. (MK Kosher)
Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait
The ancient Chinese used it in medicine. The medieval Europeans traded for it along the Silk Road. And today we love it in pies, sauces, muffins or just plain, dipped in a little sugar. But the best way to eat rhubarb is with sweet, ripe strawberries. Like in this refreshingly fruity, deep red tisane. It tastes as bright and juicy as a fresh-picked berry, with a tart rhubarb punch and a subtle hint of yogurt creaminess. We love it hot or iced, or as the base for sweet, zippy sangria. Now that's a beautiful thing. Caffeine-free.
