De Nhat lau va oc in Arlington

3 1/2 stars. Good service. We ordered 6 different dishes and like 3 of them. Our favorites: Oc Len Xao Dua, Oc Buu Hap Xa, Muc Nang 1 Nang. Ca Bong Trung Chien Tom + Goi Xoai Xao Oc are too salty for our taste.

So here we are... At a different restaurant than where we started tonight. My wife and I were looking forward to De Nhat Lau Va Oc but it turned out so disappointing. The restaurant itself seemed clean and organized. It was a full house. The waiter was nice and gave us feedback as to what to try. So we ordered. We ordered 4 items: Grilled Scallops Grilled Blood Clams Grilled Wild Boar Crispy Goby Fish We sat at a booth where we could see into the kitchen. We got our drinks, a plate of rice and our only dish (Grilled Scallops). It was good. Perfectly grilled with good flavor. We were done with that so we waited for the rest of our 3 dishes. It never came. We see other tables getting their food. We asked the waiter and he said it's coming. 15 mins go by. We asked again, "It's coming". 30 mins go by. Again, "It's coming". All this time my wife is watching the kitchen as the cook tries to read all the tickets for each table. None of which is ours. Waiter never checks on us or even seen telling the cook that we are waiting for our food. The cook is a grandma/grandpa team by the way from the looks of it. I feel for them but they need organization and a better process. They need Gordon Ramsey to get on their ass. So finally my wife got fed up and tells the waiter, if they haven't started our order, just cancel it and give us the bill. He says let me check. He goes and walks around doing whatever and then...
