Extremely disappointed with the Detroit Street Filling station, my all time favorite restaurant. I am a heart transplant recipient who frequents Ann Arbor for doctors appointments, admissions, and treatments. Recently, I have been inpatient here at U of M undergoing many rigorous tests and procedures. Mind you I am 23 years old, dealing with all of this on my own. During this stay my appetite has diminished to the point where I won't eat for days. Yesterday, I was feeling a little better and had woken up from a nap and finally had somewhat of an appetite. All I was craving was my favorite dish from DSFS, the vegan pad Thai. I called around 7:32 to place an order. Their store hours read that they didn't close until 7:45 so I hoped that if I explained my situation they would be willing and compassionate enough to still take my order. Nope, I was wrong. They dismissed me and said I could only order baked goods or soups. I then had my dad, who was already on his way down the the restaurant to pick up my order, try to reason with the manager a...
