Great food!! Awesome experience every time I'm there. One of Abilene's best!

I have been coming here for years!!! Literally since I was probably 5 and am now in my early 30's. I LOVE the Dixie Pig. Their biscuits and gravy are the best but I also love their bacon! They have great omelettes also. I don't really remember the lunch items but I know my grandpa was always a fan of the chicken fried steak. It is a family run operation and they know what they are doing. You will probably see the waitress carrying 8 plates of food at once. It happened today and I was so impressed. Then you may see the young ones in the family being taught how to run the register. It's great. They are always super nice & hospitable. My only issue is the "CASH or CHECK ONLY" policy as most people don't carry much cash. Definitely a must-stop when in Abilene though!!!!
