I've been craving tacos lately - not sure why, but the only solution is to find a good local place to fulfill my desires. Don Choche Tacos y Cerveza meets this need admirably. I visited today and tried their Sunday special, two tacos and a beer for $10. It's not always easy to find good carnitas locally, but I gave theirs a whirl. The meat was delicious - not fatty or greasy, just perfectly seasoned pork shoulder topped with raw onions, pickled onions, cilantro, and cotija cheese. I don't like raw onions so I spent a couple of minutes picking mine off; next time I'll remember to ask for no onions on my food! Keep in mind that when they say their salsas are hot, they mean it. I tried the peanut salsa and the La Gringa salsa; both were really good, but if you are cautious about heat levels, you would probably prefer the La Gringa (though it was fairly spicy as well, IMO).
