Why is there only 5 stars? Where is the 6th star? WHY CAN'T I GIVE THEM MORE STARS?! I've been here a few times 'cause the first thing I tried there was the shrimp chipotle pasta and that quickly became the reason for me to suggest eating here. I would get it every time without even looking at the menu, BIG mistake! Last night I decided to try something new and I'm so glad I did. The Pescado Don Julio totally rocked my world! Bottom line, if you like bland pilgrim themed seafood restaurants or over commercialized red pepper restaurants then don't eat here. But if you want a big stamp to FLAVOR TOWN in your passport, then you CANNOT drive past this place!

Delicious! The potato shrimp enchiladas are the best in town..My wife had the Pescado Don Julio. She said it was one of the best meals she had ever had! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality meal in Asheboro..

Don Julio Cocina Mexicana provides a fresh take on Mexican food. I dined in for lunch on a weekday. We were quickly seated in spite of it being pretty busy inside. Our drinks were ordered and promptly delivered. I ordered the lunch size chicken chimichanga, which comes with rice and beans. The lunch size has one chimichanga and dinner two. The salsa that they serve with chips has great heat and flavor. Our food arrived within about 10 minutes after ordering. After our food was delivered the service went downhill. None of our drinks got refilled until everyone in our party was finished with their food. If not for this unfortunate service shortfall, I would have given a five based on the food and atmosphere alone.
