Dutch-Way Family Restaurant - Gap in Gap

It has been a pleasure to shop here for decades and watch a true down home small business grow. You can always count on a friendly face to greet you. The restaurant has grown from a small snack bar to the mammoth full service restaurant it is today. If you ever get to check this out, the restaurant's original location is where the quick grab hot food bar is now just off of the exit to the grocery store.Speaking of the grocery store, there are no questions that a dedicated staff takes wonderful care to cater to a wide clientele. The entire store overall is one of the cleanest grocery stores I've ever been in. The maintenance to the interior and exterior of the building is well taken care of and invested in by the owners. Not many details are missed, even the grocery carts are in great repair (you would think that wouldn't been something I'd put in a review, but we have a big box store based out of Arkansas that does not get this)!When you walk into the store you can smell the wonderful baked goods being fresh made by a very diligent staff (I think this was done on purpose for those of us that go shopping hungry, I cannot be in the store without getting a dozen donut). I always visit this restaurant when I'm in the Gap area. Unfortunately the smorgasbord was not open on my last visit and that's what I really enjoy having here. such a variety of dishes for you to choose from. Can't quite remember what I had this trip but it was delicious and did not leave hungry. Always a friendly waitress and I would highly recommend anybody to eat at the restaurant.

Had the salad and soup bar for lunch. Salad was good and fresh! Soup was suburb. Personal was very helpful and polite. We'll be back!!
