The chori-pollo dish at El Azteca in Ankeny is something you must try! The chicken is tender with the perfect hint of spice. The chorizo is full of flavor and compliments the chicken so well. Get a bite of the two together and it’s heavenly. We ordered chips, guacamole, queso and salsa. The queso is hot, melty and gooey. My son thinks it’s good enough to drink. I like guacamole with chunks of avocado and this cup was full of avocado and lots of fresh cilantro. Delicious! I love the salsa too. It’s blended really well and not too chunky or runny. Perfect consistency!Curbside pickup was super simple and the food arrived quick and hot. Chori-pollo with tortillas, a ground beef taco, chips and sides for a little over $20.
