I was a little disappointed with this restaurant because it seemed really good. We ordered a chicken super burrito, chicken enchiladas, and a shrimp dish. The chicken burrito was underwhelming; it tasted very bland and something I would create for a quick weekday lunch. The chicken enchiladas was bad and the waiter described that chicken would be on top of the enchiladas and when we got it, it was literally two drumsticks. The chicken was so tough and over cooked, it was hard to eat. I would not recommend. The shrimp was the best dish of the three, but nothing to rave about. customer service was really good though because we waited for a really long time and the waiter offered to give us a horchata on the house.

El Cerrito Taqueria and Cenaduria is a Mexican restaurant located in Alum Rock. I have passed by this place so many times, but it took me only one visit to have on me a favorable conclusion. I got myself three Quesabirria Tacos with Consome ($14) and a Sope ($5). The quesabirria tacos came with onions and cilantro on it, but you can request yours without them. The Sope was requested with asada meat. To preface, I've been to many places that sell quesabirria tacos and I've learned to make some for myself over a course of several months. The tacos are crunchy especially with that tasty burnt cheese. There is the perfect amount of melty cheese and shredded meat. The consome dip pairs well with the tacos, and I believe many will be able to handle the spice here. The consome is cloudy and runny, which means it uses the fat and collagen from the bones. My order also came with three lime slices--one for each taco--and tabasco sauce. Contrary to what others might say, you honestly don't need salsa to complete your quesataco experience, but I think it could be a welcome option to have in the future. Unlike the quesabirria taco, the sopa is...
