I saw this place at South Lake union Farmer market on Wednesday and decided to have a try. They sell mainly tamales, either by singles or meal combos which come with 2 sides. I decided to try a pork tamale and a special vegetarian tamale. The tamales are decent size and is pretty filling. Between the two tamale I definitely like the vegetarian one a lot better. It was not as dry as the pork one and more flavorful. Definitely would come back to try more flavors.

Marlo is the Tamale King! I'm from Texas, so I have eaten more than my fair share of tamales, but El Chito is a cut above. The flavor combinations are excellent, but everyone knows good tamales start with good masa, and these tamales are always so delicious, even after they've been in the freezer. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Worth every penny!
