Absolutely love El Quetzal! I frequent Mexico & this place makes me happy. Juan was a great server.. personality plus & attentive. The grilled fish tacos were excellent, as always. Love the outdoor patio..complete with cool mural, umbrellas, & flowers.

This place is a new discovery for us, and we'll be back often. We started with margaritas, which were fresh tasting and excellent, plus chips and guacamole and some different and wonderful salsa. For mains, I had enchiladas with mole sauce, which were specials this evening, and my husband had a different enchilada (picudas), both of which were fantastic. We've been fans forever of El Sombrero in Columbia City, and were gutted when they closed. So we're all the more delighted to find El Quetzal. Terrific food that is not your same old American take on Mexican. Terrific margaritas (very important!), excellent food, really nice staff and a friendly space. I'll be looking for an excuse to go back as soon as possible!

This place probably has to get best quesadilla I've ever had. Given I haven't been to many Mexican restaurants in my life but still I really recommend!
