Our waitress heard it was my birthday and surprised us. I was telling my kids and husband thank you for not having the waitresses and waiters sing happy birthday and we were all laughing and then surprise. Great food and customer service

My rating is solely based off customer service. I just returned from another city and decided to look up local restaurants in Baytown. El Toro has a really high scoring according to google. When I walked in I noticed several hostess standing but none of them appeared enthused to see my fiancé and I walk through the door. I was planning on dining in but my fiancé decided to have our order To-go. I walked back to the counter and told the young lady that escorted us to the original table. She instructed me to speak with Alicia. Alicia was the young lady appointed to assisting To-go orders. She seemed like she was avoiding us. after my fiancé asked Alicia for a menu she placed the menu on the counter and walked away. Earlier this week, before the flood, I was in Baytown near lunchtime. I took Ms. Hetty's advise and tried El Toro Mexican Restaurant. What a great experience. It was the best TxMex meal I have had in years. Bacon wrapped shrimp lunch serving with melted butter. Everything else was spot on. Guac. was good and a little too big for one person and cost $8.99 (more than half eaten in Pix). Service was excellent with Cullen.
