They decided to add habanero sauce to my nachos. It wasn't on the menu and when I went back to ask for nachos with no sauce, they argued with me that it was on the menu. I had to pull up their own menu and show it to them. Asked for a refund but never got one. Skip this place. There are way better Mexican restuarants on this street. The bar, which is separate, is good.

The slimy green stuff they call salsa is the worst excuse for salsa I've ever encountered. The $11 drinks are tiny and sugary, and the $3 tacos are 3 bites. I bicycled across Mexico 2 years ago, so I know what good Mexican food, and frankly I'd rather have taco bell than eat here again.

They got off to kind of a shaky start and it was a tough adjustment from the previous kitchen occupants but El Xolo has made me a believer. Still wish they'd expand the menu a bit but I appreciate that these guys are doing their own thing and doing it well. You'll get excellent tacos here made and served by high quality people.
