Escalante's is anything but fine. The Sugar Land, Texas location is just another tasteless tourist trap for people who don't have taste buds and only know Mexican food from the frozen food aisle or Taco Bell. Our experience started with a crippled menu. Half the items listed on the website menu were no longer available. The refried black beans were tasteless. Nachos were gross. Flautas were in flour tortillas. Nothing was spicy. And all overpriced for what looked like it came out box. Never again. Support your local M&P Hispanic restaurants. Much better and more reasonable prices.
