Delicious! Authentic! Excellent service! Our server explained that the food is meant for sharing and would be a lot. And boy, was it! So much flavor! Everything was so balanced and delicious. I wish I had a bigger stomach! I would absolutely come back again. The server is so kind and helpful. The ambiance is so peaceful and we felt welcome. This seems like a great lunch nook to enjoy great food in the midst of a busy day.

I love Ethiopian food so I have tried several different restaurants in Arlington, Alexandria, and DC to accommodate my commute between my current home and my childhood home. I didn't know Ethio Cafe existed until today so I stopped by to see if they can compete. The restaurant atmosphere was cozy and friendly. The staff was great! The food was mediocre. It did not make my top 5 list. The enjera was sour and old. I've had better Asa Gulash and veggie combos with better taste and variety. I wanted to like them so I could have a closer option to my Mom's home and work but I'm willing to drive for the best. Maybe it was a bad day. More like 2.5 stars.
