Ezell’s is alright. Though their chicken is amazingly fried and crispy, their chicken lacks major flavor however. Not specific to this location either. I find that I have to have a side of sauce because the flavor is just too bland.

They got my order wrong. They gave me a wrong side order, no napkins and no utensils… it was an order for takeout but still.. they weren’t even busy at all and they somehow managed to mess up the order.

I don't like to leave a bad review for any business, however, this one is an exception. We ordered an 8 pieces chicken dinner combo, one order of 1/2 pound okra and one order of 1/2 pound original chicken tenders combo to feed 4 adults and two children. Three of chicken pieces were extremely dark brown and dry. They appear to be been under a warming lamp for hours or were beyond overcooked to start. Five of the chicken pieces looked okay on one side but the other side was white with no sign of browning at all. The meat was undercooked and was pink and bloody. (DISGUSTING). The two adults who ate them before noticing undercooked parts became ill that evening. The kids complained that they could not eat chicken tenders because they tingled their tongues. I had ordered regular chicken tenders because kids do not like spicy food. I was skeptical that chicken tenders would tingle their tongues, so I sampled a piece and indeed found that they were spicy, even for me with an affinity for spice food. We had to throw out all the chicken pieces and had to supplement baked beans, fries, okra and a small container of mashed potatoes with a pizza to call it dinner. Overall the Sunday dinner for out of town guests who had never heard of Ezell's Famous Chicken was a disaster. I will never go back.
