First time eating there and the flavor was great, the texture was awesome and the amounts are sufficient. Only took one star away because it might be on the greasy side for some. It did land heavy on my stomach and made me feel a littoe unwilling to do anything for a while. Otherwise, great customer service and speed.

The best fried chicken. If you like fried gizzards definitely have to come here.

Talk about getting bamboozled! With chicken gizzards & chicken livers on the menu, I was for sure that I was going to throughly enjoy myself when I went to check out Ezell's Famous Chicken for the 1st time. Nope, I was wrong! The chicken had no taste. It looked good & was hot but it literally tasted like nothing..no seasoning what so ever. Very bland. In my hubby's words "I've never eaten chicken that has plenty of batter but tastes like air"! Me neither honey. We were definitely disappointed especially, since we placed a to go order beforehand & we still ended up waiting an additional 35-40 mins for our food. There were lots of other people also waiting for their food & this just confused me especially, after eating our "air tasting" chicken (tenders & gizzards) so either... a) they don't know what actual finger-licking chicken tastes like OR b) they were 1st timers like ourselves & were champs at sticking it out because at that point they just didn't know any better OR c) the cook we had the day we went was just no bueno because he or she forgot his/her tastebuds at home..it's possible..I mean, we are currently living through a global pandemic. These days, I'm a believer that ANYTHING is possible..even leaving those tiny but might...
