We took the Yankee Spirit Tour over busy Halloween weekend. We have been on other ghost tours but the ones here at the Farnsworth house are the best. Our tour guide was so informative and interesting. You could really tell he loved Gettysburg and the history. I didn't get his name, but maybe "Doc". We went in the basement, which was great and all around Town, places we hadn't been on other tours. You can't go wrong with these tours.

The tour guide Ed was AMAZING and deserves 5 stars to the fullest!  But the fact that the company allows small children and drunk people to sign up ruins the walk. Ed was very professional and ignored the side comments and crying from the rude people on the tour. I would have loved to go on this with adults only. Especially since it's at 9:30pm. Next time I decide to take a tour I will make sure that the group I'm in is all adults. Trust me, it ruins the walk when you are dealing with cranky kids and drunk woman who can't respect others.

Let me start out by saying that Gettysburg, in general, is a tourist's dream. I've been there 13 times with family and friends. Reasonably priced attractions, always something to do, and extremely polite and kind locals. Now back to the Farnsworth House Inn. It is a fantastic dining experience; waitresses are in period attire, which just adds to the delightful and classy atmosphere. Everyone is pleasant, and the food is great. Ask for a heaping helping of the pickled watermelon rind! Yum! P.S. It's haunted
