I traveled to New York City a few months ago and ate my way through Brooklyn and Manhattan, trying all the bagels I could possibly get my hands on. Before Fat Ducks Deli & Bakery existed in this space, back in 2008 it was a small little coffee shop (I want to say it was named Circus). I remember when the coffee shop closed down, I was crushed. Little did I know, 6 months later this is what would eventually open up in it's place and it is THE BEST PLACE FOR DESSERTS! I've probably tried all of the bars/cookies Jaclyn makes, and although I only come in maybe once every 6 months now (can't indulge ALL the time, plus I live on the other side of town now) her recipes have stayed consistently good.
