Featherstone's Grille in Woodstock

Great location when holding. Easy to grab a quick bite but it is also an excellent choice for date night.

This will be short and to the point.  For the last several years our family has been celebrating Thanksgiving at Featherstone's in Towne Lake.  They have always put out a great buffet, everything was hot, and fresh, there was an employee operated carving station and attentive staff.   This year we again decided on Featherstone's as our Thanksgiving dinner destination.  This year's buffet was absolutely horrible.  All of the food seemed to be sitting out for hours and was dried out.  Unmanned carving station, ham, and turkey sitting on cutting boards on a table in the main hallway of the facility with people walking by constantly.  Anyone could have reached over and grabbed food items with their bare hands - really? Uncooked green bean casserole placed in a chafing pan - what is going on?  Who is running the restaurant?   There wasn't a "sneeze-guard" in sight at an...

If you're looking for a Thanksgiving option, keep looking. Took the family there last year for thanksgiving,  we walked in and we were the only ones there (other than a few customers who were finishing up) and our reservation was a 2pm! Very awkward and uncomfortable as the buffet was full of items that had been clearly out for hours, dry and cold. The employees tried hard to make us not feel uncomfortable that they were discreetly cleaning up while we were eating. Sorry, I think even if we were there at noon as the told us "everyone" was, the food was sub par and at $25 a person, I expect more.  This has become a very weird,  some of not-really-a-restaurant anymore.
