Field & Tides in Houston

Went with another couple for drinks and dinner on a Monday evening, early. First sat at the bar which though has limited seating, six, accommodated us and had some of the specialty drinks and were very happy with it. ( Though the website does say there's a happy hour every day but we were told it's is not offered any longer. They promised to update the website). Staff was very friendly and engaging. Prices are reasonable. Fi ( snapper) collars and oysters for starters. Loved them. . For dinner entrées we  had the low country chicken which was a very tender and succulent  boneless fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans, -- was just perfect and a very reasonable price. So Yummy!! Went for brunch on a Saturday. Got the Chilaquiles and they were sooo good!! Also shared the Blueberry Ginger pancakes with a friend, delish! I would definitely recommend and will be returning!

We had just a wonderful experience for brunch at Field & Tides. Our service was spectacular. I have found my new favorite dish. The Crispy Fried Oysters & Brussels took me to my happy place. The Deviled Eggs were new to me with the pork belly. It's an acquired taste. My husband just loved the peppery flavor of the arugula in the Tomato Crab Stack. My pancake with whipped maple butter was the appropriate size and it was nice. My husband's Avocado, Blue Crab Yard Egg took the show. It looked and tasted amazing. We plan on returning for dinner soon but know I will be re-ordering the Crispy Fried Oysters & Brussels when I return.
