Filiberto's in Albuquerque

I’ve been eating at all the filibertos and this one is great too. The red salsa is spicy and flavorful. The California burrito has everything in it. I’m glad there’s a closer one now!

We've never had Filiberto's before, but this new location opened up super close to us, I was craving tacos (preg) and OH MY LANTA!!! It's a new favorite. Only a couple things so far have been so so, but the beef tacos, carne asada tacos / tostada, shrimp tacos, guacamole sauce, green sauce, and fries have all been sooooooooooo good! Hubby also really likes the bean burritos and tostada, and we love that they have weekday specials.

So Disappointed!!!We wanted to try the new Filibertos that recently opened at Montgomery and Tramway. I made the mistake of not asking more questions. I ordered tacos for both of us and requested salsa. I also asked for tomatoes on the tacos but cancelled that when I learned it would be an extra $4.50.(I can buy a lot of tomatoes for $4.50)When I got home, I cut up tomatoes for the tacos. I tasted the salsa and OMG, it was so dang hot we decided not to use it. We added some more cheese and our own salsa, warmed them up a bit and dug in. The meat was cut up roast with the addition of crispy burnt pieces and had absolutely no flavor at all. My husband couldn't eat his at all and I did finish one taco. This was my $20 lesson trying a new place! So, if you prefer ground meat for your taco filling, this is not the place.Just a Heads Up!As much as we don't care for Taco Bell, it is preferable over this place.
