Woo hoo...finally a killer ice cream spot in the area. I know Holy Cow and The Jolly Cow have been staples around here forever, but Fortunes crushes them both!! Delicious. I had a small Tin Roof and it was off the charts. Going back again tonight :))

I had really high hopes about this "best of NY" ice cream shop. My husband and I even drove an hr from the capital region to try this place out. It was not good. These stars are more for the fun colorful ambiance, although completely exposed to the rain. I had custard strawberry and darkest dark scoops on a cone. Definitely had flavorless ice crystal chucks in our cream. The darkest dark was bad. Left a waxy coating on my tongue and was hard to finish because it was "dry". Almost like licking straight cocoa powder. The flavor of the strawberry was zingy and nice....
