Fried Rice Express in Anchorage

The food was alright, definitely not worth the price point given. If I wasn’t in a time crunch I would have definitely gone to eagle river for somewhere more worthwhile. When my table arrived(one of 2 tables, the other table had 2 folks) it took 25-ish minutes for the waitress to get our orders, and we spent roughly another 45 minutes waiting for the food to come out. Three to go orders were processed fully and left before we ever received our food. I’m usually very forgiving with circumstances like this, being in the service industry with a low staff count myself. Tonight just didn’t feel worthwhile. It’s a better investment to go to the Belle Vista or even Gas Station food if you’re in need of nutrition. I hope to see great things from this place one day.

Wide variety of oriental dishes with a large selection of appetizers and soups. Service was quick and the food was excellent.

I really enjoyed Fried Rice Express! We ate here a few years ago, when it first opened. I am happy to see that they are still in business! And, they have a new location in Eagle River. The Chugiak location is off the beaten path. The service here has always been mediocre. I would have given Fried Rice Express a 5 for the food, alone! My beer took over 30 minutes to get to the table. The waitress was too young to deliver it, so the kitchen staff delivered it. The restraunt wasn't that busy with seated customers, so I am unsure what took so long! However, the food was delicious and fresh. My husband ordered Ginger Stir-fry. He said the flavor was amazing! My pan fried noodles were so tasty. They were also great reheated for lunch the next day! The apple salad is the best. I have dreams about this salad! The crab rangoon was super hot and well cooked! I have had the curry and many chinese dishes! Everything on the menu is delicious and you can tell it is made with love! I can't wait to try the ER location and I love the new website!
