Considering I've been playing this review game for the better part of a decade and posted 1600+ of 'em, the fact that I've never posted a review of Garcia's Kitchen (seven ABQ locations) should be telling. When it comes to New Mexican cuisine, there's a lot to choose from, and Garcia's just doesn't pop up in my mental rolodex when I'm craving chile 'n rice 'n everything nice. But Garcia's will do in a hankering. The fact that they serve a "honey sauce" (blasphemy!) alongside their sopapillas is nearly a dealbreaker, but the prices are right, and you can always get your grub to-go and slather those greasy pillows in your own fancy clover honey at home. That's what we did. This location, which recouped a failed Village Inn, was a somewhat welcome sight in my backyard, and it was inevitable we'd give it a go. Reviews out of the gate referenced poor service and inaccurate orders, but we experienced the opposite. Efficient, friendly employees, the order was hot and ready at the quoted time, it all worked out. I can't rave about the food, but it was fine. I did note that this stuff kinda "stuck with me" a few hours later, if you know where I'm coming from, but I will say this, these peeps make...
