Must try Co-op restaurant. A little bit of history about the facility: For many years, this was the union laborers training facility. They would bring men and women in from all over the state and put them up in the apartments on the north side of the compound. Where the (reMade) store is now, where classrooms and their dining facility is now the restaurant.The dining room is well-kept and appears to get a lot of attention. The kitchen itself is enormous, probably larger than it needed to be for its purpose. Every day, the restaurant has a different chef or foodie running the kitchen and preparing their own menu. Basically, six restaurants in one location. It is offering an opportunity for fledgling restauranteurs to flap their wings a bit. The results are fantastic! My goal is to try all six of the chefs offerings. I can't encourage you enough to open your mind, then open the door. Go on in for a couple rounds of restaurant roulette. I am giving five stars based simply on the idea of a cooperative kitchen.
