UPDATE: on advice of a friend I gave Gerardo's another try. The takeout window is still unpredictable, but the pizza was and continues to be much tastier. I think I just experienced an off night before with the first pizza and meatballs. And they still have quality ingredients which I appreciate.Very confusing Take out window - it says on website they only do take out orders from 7-8:30 but then you never know when you can call. If you call early they say to call later, and if you call later they say they have suspended take out orders because they have too many takeout orders but if you had called earlier you could have placed one. Apparently there is a mysterious just right window when you can place your order and then pick up later (which they can't explain when it is, instead just repeat it is suspended). I like that they use quality ingredients, so I was going to order again even though my first margherita was just okay...and first time several months ago I had different but similarly vague problems with takeout. And we are over a full year after COVID now so we can't blame it on that. So 3 stars on food but docked a star for confusing customer service.

Our group tried 5 different renowned pizza places to try and find the best pizza in town including Pizzeria Bocce, Hideaway House, Gerardo's Italian Kitchen, Pisa Lisa, and Picazzo's. We got red-sauce pizzas with "the meats" on all of them. To keep things short, we would only recommend Pizzeria Bocce and Hideaway House, with Bocce being our favorite by slim margins. I wouldn't revisit any of the other places. For our ranked breakdown, including the review for this specific restaurant, read on: Rank #1: Pizzeria Bocce. Best crust, although a little hard. Chewy, flavorful. Good toppings, great flavor: our favorite despite being the last place we tried. Also- Lavender lemonade is. Rank #2: Hideaway House. They make a dang good pizza, and they have high-quality, flavorful toppings. The crust is in desperate need of salt though: Crust so bland that you wouldn't want to eat it alone. Their customer service is exceptional! Side note--everyone raves about their spinach lasagna, but it had so much spinach that it had a strong vegetable flavor. If you'...
