Despite the reviews and the strange, somewhat shady appearance of the restaurant, my experience at Golden Chicken & Bread was great. It used to be a Golden Skillet but I'm guessing they no longer wanted to pay franchising fees so they got a name change and now also sell Mexican cuisine. I got the Torta sandwich which is tomato, lettuce, beans, mayo, avocado, verde salsa, and your choice of steak or chicken on Mexican bread. It also came with a drink and fries for $6.50 plus tax. It was very good! I recommend to everyone. Also, the restaurant itself was very clean and not to be a concern. Don't ignore this place just because of some bad reviews or how it looks. Venture out a little!
