Goode Company Seafood, menu in Houston

Adding to the love for this place!  We were staying in the medical center and a friend back home recommended this place. For drinks, we started with the Goode margarita and a whiskey smash. Both were very good and we loved they use the "good ice." My husband moved to beer (good local selections) and I had Champagne (their wine list is very impressive). The food lived up to the stellar Yelp reviews and the recommendation from our friend. We had the Campechana de Mariscos and added crab. The portion was wonderful, the taste top notch and it was loaded with lots of shrimp and crab. The crab bisque was sublime. Seriously....we hesitated in ordering it, because we have a killer crab bisque in our home town that has never been toppled as our favorite. Let's just say there is now a tie for first place! My husband ordered the mesquite grilled snapper and I had the redfish on the half shell, each with the signature topping. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and delectable.  Our dishes came with a shrimp empanada, which was incredibly tasty, but be warned...the inside is like molten lava if you don't give it time to cool off. Yeah, excellent fried Gulf Shrimp. Yumm. With hush puppies and garlic bread. And a not-so great empanada. So for the food, definitely go there for the food. However, the margaritas were very weak, the Whiskey Sour had literally maybe 0.5 oz of whiskey in it and I couldn't even smell it. The service was very slow, but they were very busy. So, I would come here again and again for the seafood but won't order any of their alcoholic beverages any more.

I visited here for the first time about 2 weeks ago and I must say I was very impressed.  The place was super clean and has a very nice open and welcoming feel.  My server was Angie and i have to say she was probably the best server I have had in a very long time.  Not only was she very upbeat and positive, she knew the menu extremely well.  I felt as if I was at home!  She was quick to refill drinks, full of smiles and we all even laughed a bit a couple times.  All of this and I haven't even mentioned the food yet! One of the best seafood meals I have had, by far.  Nothing like any other seafood house in Houston.  Go see Angie at Goode Company Seafood in Memorial, she is the best there is!  I will be going back soon!  Thank you!
