I found this place on yelp and gave it a try because I wanted something different. I just so happened to show up on a vegan day. I tried a little bit of everything and it was all so delicious! I had to have seconds. The service was 10/10. Thank you

We've been here a few times but today we brought our carnivore son. He loved it as much as we did. I could tell cause he went for seconds. As everyone has mentioned, this place offers extremely fresh, flavorful food. It's a very balanced buffet. Veggies, rice, quinoa, protein (tofu), bread and gluten free chickpea crisp (can't remember what it's called). Plus, delicious desserts. The line moves quickly and the servers are pleasant. And of course, you have to love the Temple grounds. Places like this make me proud to be a Houstonian. ** Don't forget to unlock your Yelp offer for 10% off!

I went to Govinda's Vegetarian Cuisine based on all the positive reviews. I was very disappointed with the end result. The restaurant is clean and located on the grounds of the unique Hara Krishna temple on 34th street. The workers seem polite. I thought the cost was rather pricey, considering it is all vegetables with very limited choices, also lunch and dinner buffet is the same price. You won't find any naan here. No coffee, tea, or soft drinks either. You can have tap water to wash down all that spiciness. I really didn't like the fact I had to eat off a disposable Styrofoam tray, plastic flatware, and paper napkins: this wasn't to-go or fast food. You should find another way for cost saving measures than disposable eating utensils because to me, that was just too tacky. One of my favorite Indian dishes is spinach paneer, but this was bland and watery, none of the rich creaminess it should be. I'm not a fan of tofu because it's tasteless and has a texture that reminds me of a sponge, but it was in several things and over cooked to the point of being dried out. There was a "pudding" which was actually a small fruit cup with a milky substance on it....
