So unnecessarily cold.

Great experience watching people make drinks and drinking. Food was surprisingly good

Great place for cocktails. The entrance is fun in that it is hidden behind a bookcase that swings open to permit entrance into the bar. The music and lighting definitely gave Grandstaff & Stein the illusion of being Prohibition-Era speakeasy. I ordered a sazerac and a whiskbroom. The sazerac was a little sweeter than I prefer. The whiskbroom was interesting but too sour for me to try again. I was very pleased with the prices of the drinks relative to other cocktail bars. Overall, the ambiance, selection, and prices of the drinks give Grandstaff & Stein a lot to recommend.
