Food is okay- prices are massive for the food quality. Beautiful place to dine and gather, but I wouldn't have big expectations for the food.

Delicious seasonal items on the menu. Swift and polite service. We will be back!

Gravenstein Grill: As Special As Its Namesake and Locale The delicious, versatile Gravenstein apple is a signature Sonoma County crop, and Sebastopol is the epicenter of that fruit's cultivation and celebration. In the marvelous Gravenstein Grill, Sebastopol and its lucky visitors have yet another reason to celebrate. From Allison's welcome greeting to the engaging professionalism of our bartender and lead server Vail, the service was letter-perfect. As was everything we ate and drank. The menus change seasonally. Our visit featured the Harvest Season brunch menu. Our meal began with wonderful made-to-order orange-grapefruit mocktails, followed by amazing takes on butternut squash soup and New England clam chowder. My beloved wife then had the turkey burger, served with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. It was the first time I ever saw her eat a burger without ketchup. It was perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and moist all by itself. I had the seared calamari with white bean purée, bacon-and-garlic-dressed arugula, and tiny whole potatoes cooked in bacon fat. Every bit of it was cooked perfectly and incredibly delicious, on its own and combined with its plate-mates. It's a beautiful, well-appointed space, indoors and outside. And the restaurant focuses on locally sourced ingredients, adding to the quality and freshness. We cannot wait to return, to try out more of the food and to experience the outdoor dining space.
