The staff make sure you are well taken care of as soon as you seat yourself.  This restaurant is located inside the Hilton which sets a comforting, quiet, atmosphere.  Date night would be great here! Everything we ordered was goooooooood!!! Fruit bowl for kids plate & they asked which fruits he preferred! The sweet tea was made fresh & perfect! Don't forget to take a look at the staff's titles (name tags), it'll make your day!

The Great American Grill is a secret. Inside the Hilton Garden Inn, I guess it is aimed at the hotel guests only. They do not advertise or do anything to let you know they are there. Open evenings only, there is a bar with a great happy hour and the restaurant. Glenda and I and the 2 people at the bar were the only customers. A very limited menu allows you to pick from a few entrees and burgers and sandwiches. We both got the nightly special, smothered chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. It was actually very good. The chef came out to check on us which was a nice touch. Too full for dessert. If your just looking for something different in Abilene's endless supply of mostly boring restaurants, come give this place a try.

We went down the street to Remington Grill with much nicer staff fo...
