Oh my gosh where to start. I originally stayed here 10 years ago for a couple of nights with my best friend in college for a fun staycation, and that was such a treat! We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, and I was still left with such an impression of coziness, good food, luxury, friendliness, and historic Seattle charm - I have thought of it often since then. This time I was coming from out of town and stayed for several days in the Parkview room. It was even better than I remembered. The owner Julie was perfect - so kind, and attentive yet not overbearing. It was the perfect mix of feeling taken care of at a charming B&B, and the ease of a well run luxury hotel. I utilized the gas fireplace, jetted tub (the most comfy robes I've tried at a hotel), and daily breakfast ordered straight to my room. I was on a difficult trip and this lovely stay helped me feel more relaxed and uplifted than I was expecting. It was also so incredibly therapeutic and rejuvenating to walk around Greenlake every day, even in the classic seattle rain. What else can I say - well, the mini fridge is located outside the room and shared between a few rooms, but that didn't pose a problem for me. I had their amazing breakfasts each morning (there is a cool menu you fill out the night before, and they offer amazing options), ate lunch out (loved Thaprachan Thai just a few minutes away) and then got a salad bar and soup dinner at Whole foods just 6 minutes away. I kept a few things in the fridg...

The direct view onto the lake and foliage is very peaceful and relaxing. The unique breakfast creations each morning are amazing and call you down from your room. The spaces are great for relaxing, working, playing. Definitely a gem in Seattle.

We just enjoyed our fourth visit to the incomparable Greenlake Guest House, where the accommodations and the warmth of the hosts keep us coming back. Every breakfast is a better than we receive at restaurants. Julie’s daily baking is professional-level. Their recommendations for excursions are spot-on. Why would we stay anywhere else? Greenlake Guest House really is our home in Seattle—I’m just glad we have kids in the area, so we know we will keep coming back.
