This place is smaller than what I expected to be. I went here on a Saturday around 5:30 and the place appeared empty to me but there was still a wait. They have a nice outdoor patio with a fire pit. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted very fresh and authentic. I had the bolognese and it was very fulfilling and my partner had the salmon which is a must try and one of their popular dishes. I do recommend getting a reservation if you can. The drinks/cocktails were reasonably priced, I loved my peach Bellini but I wish it was a little bit stronger.

Beautiful building and outdoor area. I ate inside with a small group. Our food and drinks took a long time to come out despite minimal customers. The food is good but nothing to rave about.

We had a great double date at Grotto downtown. We were able to snag a last minute weekend reservation to pair with our stay at the Marriott Marquis across the street. We were seated immediately in their stylish restaurant. It definitely ticked the "classy date night atmosphere" box. The menu was not too long but we all had something we could try. I particularly appreciated the vegetarian carbonara made with mushrooms. All the food was tasty. We splurged on cheesecake for dessert as well. Prices were reasonable and service was prompt and friendly.
