While I love Grump's Cafe, I do NOT recommend eating at the Annapolis location during COVID. It's not because of the food but rather the layout of the store and customers who refuse, or do not use common sense, to practice social distancing. This small, family-owned restaurant with it's unique, beachy atmosphere is a must stop on your breakfast-anytime adventures. The food and choices are delicious, and the chef and cooks cater to dietary restrictions. I love the food, service, and atmosphere at both locations. However, during COVID the Annapolis location is waaay over crowded. The customers are everywhere and do not naturally practice social distancing. When I asked a man if he could move away just a bit, he was rude and refused. The girl at the check-in outside said he was six feet apart and didn't have to move, but he wasn't really six feet apart. I couldn't wear a mask because I was drinking. I am a regular at Crofton and will not return to the Annapolis location. I've been going to the Crofton location the entire time during COVID and never experienced the type of rude customers that I experienced at the Annapolis location. The customers in Crofton naturally practice social distancing without having to be asked. I love Grumps! The service and food are great!
