We have been going to Gullifty's for years, but this is the first time since the pandemic started. The food and drinks have always been good, and they were all good this time. The salmon, cheesesteak, potato skins, mashed potatoes, etc., all excellent and very fairly priced. Why, then, just 3 stars? We did get paper menus for food, but they did not have paper menus for beer, wine and cocktails. I am well aware that most people do have cell phones, but we don't. We have not had this problem at other restaurants. If they can have paper menus for food, why can't they have paper menus for drinks? Is paper too expensive? They do have a beer selection on an overhead screen but nowhere near the 130 beers they claim to have. Another problem is the terrible acoustics. The noise is awful, although we were there on a Tuesday, and the place was only about half-full. That's a reason we did not go there more often in the past. This has always been a problem at Gullifty's. Many other Yelp-ers have mentioned the long wait for food. After we placed our order for entrees, we waited about an hour before the food was served with an apology. I know that almost all restaurants are having a very hard time finding staff these days because of stimulus checks and unemployment compensation, but they seemed to have enough staff for a half-full restaurant, and this apparently has been a problem for years. Our server, Abby, was wonderful and sweet, and was certainly not to blame for the long delay.
