This hidden gem was absolute deliciousness. I have lived in this area for 14 years and just now had the wonderful pleasure of enjoying this food. I had the Creole Tuna Steak Salad and it was an amazing party in my mouth. My tuna steak was grilled to perfection at medium rare and the flavor was phenomenal. I had a few spoonfuls of gumbo and that was also delish! Can not wait to try all menu items.

Was in the Houston for a concert looking for a soul food place. Gumbo Jeaux's was the closest place to our hotel . I ordered the Lemon Pepper Catfish and beans and rice. What did I receive? LPC rice and vegetables floating in grease. You know when your lips slip around after eating a bite of food? I went to the counter to request my bowl of beans which they happily dished up but the included sausage pieces caused the beans to also be greasy. That's when I dumped my rice in the bowl and stirred. lastly, a Soul Food place that doesn't offer cornbread or at least a slice of white bread? I was hungry so I ate 1/2 of my food . Don't waste your time.
