Thirty years ago my friends and I would leave Ardmore Raceway in Springer and beat it to Gushers. That was a time when bars could not even sell liquor. We had to bring our own. Many great memories. Recently my friend and I met there, me from Tulsa, She from Fort Worth, because a great band we know well was there. The Stars. What a great group of people. The manager was fantastic and insured every patron was taken care of. The bar staff was exceptional even making customized drinks for us. The patrons were as nice as could be and of course, the Stars did their usual amazing job. This may STILL be the best small dance club anywhere. If you are passing through between OK and TX and need a rest, stop here by all means, get a room and enjoy the hospitality of some good old country folks.
