This is the third time I've been to Hai Cang Harbor. I actually loved their salt and pepper squid (before) and their salt and pepper tofu. I had a vegetarian friend coming from Austin and she thought the menu looked good, so I picked up a meal on my way to meet her at my house. We ended up throwing most of it away. There was D57, salt and pepper squid, which was so greasy it dripped when you picked it up, Also D125, Double Mushrooms with vegetables which sounded so good. The part of the mushrooms were hard and the "vegetables" consisted of about 8=10 small pieces of broccoli and none of it was very good. And then there was D129, Chef's Special Fried Tofu $16.95. it was terrible. It was little oblong pieces of fried dough. I really don't think there was any tofu in it at all. We each had 1 piece of that and threw it away. I did tear a few pieces apart to see if there was indeed any tofu - Nope. I'm very disappointed and don't think I'll be back. A total waste of almost $50.

Worst service I ever get. Serving unfresh seafood and when I ask them for an exchange, they refused and say what if I complain again. What a joke, they blame their customer for not able to serve fresh food. I will not recommend this place to anyone. The people there always seems angry for some unknown reason.

Decided to drop by on a Monday afternoon to avoid some crowds, but they were still pretty busy at 2pm (granted it was a holiday). The restaurant is located outside of the busy area of Chinatown/Bellaire, in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Restaurant itself is nicely decorated and fairly clean. Tanks of live seafood when you enter.. but sadly for me, a lot of the tanks were already empty. Our servi...
