Came to take in local fresh seafood and support the crab stand but was presented with mask demand and no food options previously mentioned on reviews here. You can look buy oysters and crab and salmon but no prepared crab cocktails or snacks to eat in view of the bay. Guy said he hasn't been preparing or selling food for two years due to pandemic fear it seems.

Terrific fish market on the pier in Astoria Excellent service from Tom, the owner- who really knows his local fishermen. Plus it's fun location to find.

We happened upon the Hanthorn Crab Company today after searching for a small place with delicious food. We love good, fresh food and we found just what we wanted. Tom, the owner, is a sweet, sarcastic Astoria Native. He knows about Astoria History and I would call him an expert in Crab, Oysters, salmon and clam chowder. Simply amazing. We ate outside on the dock with plastic cups and plastic spoons, but the crab melt came on China with a metal fork. We can't say enough good things about this place. We LOVE IT!!! We will be back. We wouldn't hold Tom to any tight schedule if we were you. Call first if you wonder if he is open. He sometimes closes early if business is slow. Thank you Tom! We really enjoyed our visit today.
